Malia Love is an international award-winning vocalist, songwriter, musician, producer, actress, author, vocal coach, and dynamic live entertainer. Celebrated for her powerful voice, soulful funk sound, and commanding stage presence, Malia has shared the stage with legendary artists Percy Sledge, Freddie Jackson, and Regina Belle, and has opened for the iconic Temptations.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago and based in Toronto, Canada, Malia began her professional career at just 13 years old, performing under her former name, Shayne Bailey. She first gained recognition in the soca and reggae music scenes, earning three reggae gold records. Her celebrated recordings “Leggo Meh Man,” “Sweetness,” and “Make Me Feel Good” have been featured in the hit television series Degrassi and in commercials around the world.

A gifted multi-instrumentalist, Malia plays piano, bass, guitar, alto saxophone, drums, and steel pan. Her extensive career also includes performing and collaborating with renowned Caribbean artists such as Alison Hinds, David Rudder, Calypso Rose, Mighty Shadow, Anslem Douglas, and Machel Montano.

Malia currently stars alongside A Male Motown singer in Motown Gold, a high-energy theatrical production backed by the renowned Rudy & the Angels band. The production brings the timeless music of Motown to theatres across Canada through powerhouse vocals, authentic arrangements, vibrant choreography, and unforgettable live performances.

Entering an exciting new chapter in her career, Malia has rebranded her band as Malia and the Love Machine a versatile, high energy musical experience that blends soul, funk, R&B, reggae, soca, Motown, pop, rock, and country influences. Her forthcoming country-soul single, “Walk Away,” will introduce audiences to another side of her artistry while marking the beginning of a bold new era in her musical journey.

Beyond the stage, Malia is the founder of Malia Love Entertainment, an independent production company created to develop meaningful productions, generate employment, and build a supportive creative home where artists can grow, collaborate, and thrive. She is also the owner of RTL Vocal Coach, where she shares her professional knowledge and experience with aspiring singers and developing artists.

Malia is also expanding her creative legacy into children’s literature with the upcoming release of The Magical Adventures of Princess Maya. The first title in this planned 10-book series, Chewy and the Magic of Lumara, introduces young readers to a magical world where kindness brings magic to life, every heart has the power to shine, and love is the greatest magic of all.
